Customer Inquiry / Sliding Barn Doors

I have a pass through with no door between my master bedroom and bathroom. We don't want to mount a traditional door between the two spaces, but we would like some privacy and a noise buffer. Will a sliding barn door work in an area like this?

Janet S
Phoenix, AZ
in the Desert Ridge area

Janet, Thanks for contacting us. The picture above is one of our sliding barn doors that we manufactured and installed in an identical application between a master bedroom and bathroom. As long as you have enough room beside the doorway (or pass through) opening to allow the barn door to slide open, you can have one installed. The great thing about sliding barn doors is that they don't swing in or out taking up valuable wall space. We manufacture these doors in many different styles and finish them in a variety of finishes. Give us a call to set up a FREE in-home measurement. About Sliding Barn Doors

The old world sliding barn door is becoming a popular addition to the interior of many homes. This plank style door rolls on an exposed track with wheels mounted above the door header or door frame. Not only is the sliding barn style door a space saver because it doesn't swing in or out like a traditional door, but it also becomes "functional art" within any interior space. The barn style door blends well with many styles and themes of interior design. It's rustic, old word look blends nicely with European and Spanish themed interiors, but takes on a very contemporary aesthetic in a loft type setting as well.

All of our barn style planked doors are hand made from knotty pine. We offer several different styles and finishes or the door can be purchased unfinished as well. Our barn door sliding hardware is also handcrafted by an artisan partner who carefully replicates the rolling wheel hardware system used on this type of door in the old country centuries ago.
