Our Most Popular Barn Door Application
The Barn Door Store Crew on an install
Our Most Popular Barn Door Application!
Continues to be the open entrance (generally an archway) between the master bedroom and master bath. This is a perfect application for a sliding barn door as a traditional door that swung in or out would consume too much wall space. Pictured here The Barn DoorStore Crew is installing a big 9 1/2 foot 3 rail plank style barn door that we custom built for this opening. We finished the door in a "Ebony" stain and applied 2" Clavos (Spanish nail Heads) to the door to play on our clients Spanish Colonial furnishings. We hung this door using our Vintage Style rolling barn door hardware kit which includes six spoke barn door wheels. The hardware was finished in our "Dark Bronze" finish which added an unexpected detail to the door.

2 questions: does the bottom of the door rub agains the baseboards at all, and does the door block out most like & sound or does some light escape through the top & sides?
I am currently attempting this project. My home has arched doorways in the master suite lacking a door to the Master Bathroom. Wall space is barely enough for a sliding door. Always something with DIY but I am determined to work it out. Your door looks fantastic and will keep wandering eyes out for sure.
