Reclaimed Barn Wood Walls

Since being in the barn door and barn door hardware manufacturing business, our products have been dubbed with being called A"Functional Art". The name fits when referring to barn doors as they serve the distinct purpose of doing their primary job of closing off a room. When in the opened position, which we refer to as be "Parked" to the right or left of the opening in which they are hung, they serve as a beautiful, timeless piece of art, hence.... "Functional Art". Over the years we have been asked by our customers and professional design clients to install "Reclaimed Barn Wood Walls". Every time we install one of these reclaimed barn wood walls, the site is just short of taking my breath away as to how it completely changes the room. The warmth, character, texture, and authenticity created within a space from the addition of a reclaimed barn wood wall is one that can not be duplicated through traditional art, paint color, furniture or the most well thought out accessories.

When we install a reclaimed barn wood wall, we put a lot of time in hand selecting barn boards with the right tones and hues of color. In this particular instance our clients home was very traditional Spanish in style. The space was adorned with natural stone, clay tiles, wrought iron and the color pallet was made up of earth tones and muted blues, greens and gold tones. Keeping in theme with the overall design theme and color pallet, we hand selected a variety of barn wood in colors ranging from dark weathered brown to tie in the adjacent kitchen cabinetry to light browns and cremes to coordinate with the canterra stone fireplace. Finally we added some barn wood with patina green and blue tones to compliment the fabrics and art work throughout. Horizontal Mixed Plank Blend Barn Door

Our "Horizontal Mixed Plank Blend" (shown above) has quickly become one of our most popular selling barn door styles. This style of barn door lends itself perfectly to any interior design theme as the horizontal positioning of the barn board planks tend to say "contemporary" while the multiple tone variations and the natural aged characteristics of the wood say "old". Like peanut butter and jelly, it's the perfect mix. We built this door for just that reason. Our client had a perfect blend of "old and new" related to her interior design theme. Please visit our website at or give us a call at 480-688-3820 Our showroom and barn door workshop is located in Scottsdale, Arizona in the Scottsdale Air-Park.

Barn Doors Create Room Versatility

We installed this barn door over an opening leading to a den located off of the front entry of this North Scottsdale Home. The homeowners are winter visitors from Canada and found that they needed to make this den and occasional guest bedroom for their visiting grand children. When not being used for a guest bedroom the room serves as a quaint place to watch television or read a book. With the simple addition of this barn door, the homeowners now how a room with versatility and privacy when needed. In keeping with the Spanish style decor of the home we built this barn door using heavily distressed planks and finished it in a walnut, glazed stain. Because the door was 60" wide and 100" tall it makes a dramatic statement to the home's interior. We built the iron sliding barn door hardware system using our extra large 6-spoke industrial style wheels to compliment the massive size of the door.
Our barn door workshop and showroom is located in Scottsdale, Arizona in the Scottsdale Air-Park. If you are interested in a barn door for your home or office or would like to visit our showroom, please visit our website at or 480-688-3820
